Welcome to KXStudio
KXStudio is a collection of tools and tweaks, targetted at audio and video production.
KXStudio is also a Linux Distribution, currently based on Ubuntu 12.04.
Although focused on GNU/Linux, some of our tools will eventually work in other Operating Systems.
KXStudio is divided into 4 categories:

Applications
We provide a large set of applications and tools that will help users in a variety of ways.
This includes, but it's not limited to, an application launcher, a JACK patchbay, and a multi-plugin host.
(Note that this is not the list of applications available in KXStudio as distro, but our custom applications developed in-house).

Desktop
Our DeviantArt page contains artwork related to KXStudio (as Desktop).
It's usually dark themes, using QtCurve for cross-desktop compatibility (Gtk2, Qt3/KDE3 and Qt4/KDE4).
(A Gtk3 theme is underway, but not yet complete. See Development:TODO if you want to help).

Tweaks
Although not really KXStudio specific, system tweaks can you help improve the overall performance.
All configs and tweaks are checked by our own 'Cadence' application, so you'll know when something's missing.

Repositories
Ubuntu repositories (PPAs) are available, to ease the installation of new software.
