Welcome to KXStudio
KXStudio is a collection of applications, artwork and plugins, targeted at audio and video production.
KXStudio also provides a Linux Distribution, currently based on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.
Although focused on GNU/Linux, some of our applications work in other Operating Systems.
In short, the KXStudio project is divided into 4 categories:

Applications
We provide a large set of applications and tools that will help users in a variety of ways.
This includes, but it's not limited to: an application launcher, a JACK graph patchbay, and a multi-plugin host.
(Note that this is not the list of applications available in the KXStudio Live-DVD, but our custom applications developed in-house).

Artwork
KXStudio has its own set of artwork, currently supporting Gnome2, KDE4 and XFCE4 environments.
We use the QtCurve style engine, so our theme will perfectly match Gtk2, Qt3, KDE3, Qt4 and KDE4 applications.

Plugins
Our DISTRHO project provides cross-platform audio plugins for both LV2 and VST plugin standards, using
Juce and
Qt4.
We also provide custom patched plugins to work better with our applications and support more features.

Repositories
Ubuntu repositories are available, to ease the installation of new software.
These can be used to simply get extra applications and updates, or to upgrade to the KXStudio distribution.
